Los Altos Adobe

The owners of a beautiful adobe home in Los Altos wanted a garden that would accomplish two things, create a beautiful view from the home's interior and diminish the road and street noise.

Cevan built a series of walls that are placed throughout the garden and then planted around the walls to create a private view. The walls reflect the adobe tradition of the house, one utilizes Mexican roof tiles from which water cascades into a pond, another wall holds a custom painting by Cevan that adds a jolt of color. A third wall is low and curved, great for seating. The fourth wall defines the kitchen potager garden.

Now the garden resonates with the sound of cascading water and rustling leaves.
